Ken Shepard
"The first time I picked up a camera, I was completely hooked. I loved everything about it - the creativity, the challenge, the opportunities. I started photographing weddings after graduating from the Fishback School of Photography in Sacramento, California when one of my instructors asked me to photograph a wedding for his studio. I was floored that he asked - and even more floored when I discovered that Wedding Photography was one of the most dynamic, challenging experiences I had ever had as a photographer. I created Shepard Photography in October of 1983 and never looked back. I am as much in love with photography today as when I began, and am looking forward to many more years of challenge and fun!"

"I grew up with a paint brush in one hand and a canvas in the other, but I never dreamed that I would be able to wake up every morning and create artwork as a profession. In fact, I graduated with a degree from Taylor University in 1998 with dual-major in Marketing and Finance. I worked in corporate America as an international business consultant, but as time went on I found my first love calling me back. I hung up my laptop and business suits in 2003, and created my very first photography studio in Indianapolis, Indiana. Precisely 3 months later, I met Ken at a photo conference, and soon moved to Bellevue, Washington where I get to work, play, and photograph in the gorgeous Northwest. What more could any photographer ask for?"

"I confess to being a hopeless romantic, which is probably why I love designing wedding albums for our newly married couples. It brings me so much joy to actually use my degree from the Ohio Institute of Photography and Technology in a way that brings so much joy to our clients. My favorite part of designing the albums is presenting the finished product to our couples, and watching their eyes light up as they see their photographs tell the story of their Wedding Day for the first time. I know that they will love what I create for years to come, and that their children and grandchildren will be able to experience their Wedding Day because of what I created for them. It is an absolutely exhilarating feeling!"
